The 4th Annual Jimmy D fundraiser WOD is Monday, September 7, 2015.

Our sister-in-law Erin started a foundation in memory of her father, James D’heron who was a firefighter that was killed in the line of duty on September 3, 2004 in Jill’s hometown of New Brunswick, NJ. He saved the lives of 15 people during that house fire call. For 10 years, Erin held a 5K race on Labor Day to raise money for her foundation and she decided that last year was going to be the last race. Over the course of those years, her foundation raised thousands of dollars to support burn foundations and burn survivors. We thought it would be nice to continue to honor Jim and do the WOD at our gym this Labor Day.

The Jimmy D WOD was created in 2012 by CrossFit Stealth in New Brunswick, NJ and we participated in the fundraiser the following year. We are happy to host the workout again! All money raised from the Jimmy D WOD will go to the Atlantic Regional Firefighters Burn Foundation which supports camps for children who are burn survivors. Erin volunteers every summer at The Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp where every child attends free of charge.

Please join us Monday at 10:00am to participate in this great fundraiser! We are accepting monetary donations, any amount is greatly appreciated. We will also have a raffle for some prizes! Start at the beginning weight and perform 5 reps at that weight. Add 5 pounds and perform 5 more reps. Keep adding 5 pounds and performing 5 reps until time runs out or you can no longer complete a rep.
